WWE has a long history and was purchased by Vince Mcmahon from his father in 1982. Vince slowly began to come up with new ideas. During this time events such as WrestleMania, Survivor Series and SummerSlam were introduced, which later became one of the biggest events in the WWE.

Raw was launched in 1993 and SmackDown in 1999. Now the company had 2 shows, so the brand split in 2002 for the first time. Raw and SmackDown’s shows began to be organized separately. Brand unification was done in 2011, but 5 years later, in 2016, the brand split again.

WWE is still divided into Red and Blue brands and the last few years have seen significant changes in WWE’s programming due to competition from AEW. So in this article we will tell you about the 2 reasons why Raw and SmackDown should come together and the 2 reasons why they should stay separate.

Not all superstars on the WWE roster will get a chance – shouldn’t come along

In 2020, WWE slashed its budget due to the COVID-19 epidemic, which resulted in the release of more than 50 superstars in 2020 and 2021. Yet the number of superstars on WWE’s main roster is now close to 100. The decision to bring all 100 superstars in one show seems a bit strange.

So many superstars cannot be given a chance to reach the top by being a part of the same show. In that case, the company would have to release several other wrestlers, which would have a direct impact on WWE’s product. On the other hand, it is easy to push wrestlers by dividing them into 2 brands.
