Pitru Paksha always starts from Shukla Purnima of Bhadrapada month. This time Pitru Paksha is starting from 20th September. It culminates in the month of Ashwin on the day of Savapitri Amavasya. This time Sarvapitri Amavasya will fall on 6 October 2021.

Vighnaraj Sankashti

The Chaturthi Tithi of every month is dedicated to Ganapati. The Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashwin is called Vighnaraj Sankashti. This is on Friday 24th September. Lord Ganesha is worshiped on this day.

Shradh Paksha ends on the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya. After this Navratri begins. This time Sarva Pitri Amavasya is falling on 06 October. Those who do not know the date of Shradh of their ancestors can perform Shradh on this day.
