Patna, Online Desk. Bihar Panchayat Election 2021: The first phase of polling in Bihar is being held today. Along with the voting, the district administration has also started preparing for the counting of votes. The State Election Commission and Panchayati Raj Department is monitoring the preparation. It has been told that the counting of votes will be done at the sub-division level. However, in many districts, the system of counting of votes has been done at the same place at the district level. There is also the attention of the administration on compliance with the Kovid guidelines. Let us tell you that the counting of votes will be done a day after the end of the election. Counting of votes will take place between September 26 and 28, after the first phase of elections is over.
Earlier, the counting of votes was done at the block level.
It is known that earlier the counting of votes was done at the block level. But this time the system has changed. Panchayat wise counter will be made at the collection center of the counting place. Post wise, five additional counters will be set up behind the main counter for receiving EVMs and ballot boxes. From there, EVMs and ballot boxes will be kept in the Vajragriha which has been decided post wise. In the light of the request of the DM of Patna, in the letter sent by the Officer on Special Duty of the State Election Commission, it was said that wherever necessary, the counting of votes should be done at the sub-divisional headquarters level. But all the arrangements for the Vajragriha and the counting center should be at the district level.
In the first phase, elections will be held in 10 districts tomorrow
Let us inform that in the first phase, on September 24, Dawath and Sanjhauli of Rohtas district, Kudra of Kaimur district, Belaganj and Khijrasarai of Gaya, Govindpur of Nawada, Aurangabad of Aurangabad, Kako of Jehanabad, Sonbhadra-Banshi-Suryapur of Arwal, Tarapur of Munger , Elections are being held in Sikandra of Jamui and Dhoraiya block of Banka district.
Every activity of the counting center will be live
After voting, EVMs and ballot boxes will be digitally locked in Vajragriha. From the opening of the Vajragriha on the day of counting, arrangements have been made for live viewing of EVMs and ballot boxes till they are kept till the table. Which candidate got the number of votes in the EVM will have to be shown. Officials will see this on the big screen.
