Amidst the threat of the epidemic, the prestigious Hindu College of Delhi University has created a special machine, using which the danger of corona infection spread through mobile and other decorative goods can be eradicated in just one minute.
Dr. Lalit Kumar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics of Hindu College, has created this unique machine. Doctor Lalit claims that this machine can prove to be extremely useful for home use. Through this, currency notes, office files, grocery items, fruits, vegetables, glasses, masks, healthcare products, ATM cards, parcels, children’s toys and other accessories can be disinfected within a minute.
Can be used at home, office and schoolLalit Kumar told that this machine is available in the capacity of 20 liters and 40 liters, which can be easily used in home, office and schools. The price of this machine has not been decided yet, but according to Doctor Lalit, its price will be less than Rs 6000, which is cheaper than any ultra violet device available in the market.
According to Lalit, this machine is the result of a teamwork which includes Dr. Reena Jain, Professor of Chemistry Department of Hindu College, Dr. Anju Srivastava and Alumuni Doctor Upesh Verma of IIT Delhi. The name of the machine is UV Omega. This machine is capable of neutralizing 99.9% of bacteria and viruses within a minute of exposure. The essential standards of this machine have been certified by the LASTEC ie laser science and technology division of DRDO.

This machine has 254 nanometer weblength UV-C lamps that give 360 degree exposure. In addition, timers, safety switches and alarms have also been installed in it. In this era of Kovid-19 epidemic, this machine can prove to be a milestone in getting rid of infection caused by mobile and other goods.
