Ashwani Choudhary, Mumbai. These days, biopics of former army veterans are being made one after the other in Bollywood. From Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gorkha’ to Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Sam Bahadur’, work has already started. Film makers nowadays are restless to bring the story of patriotism and soldiers who sacrificed for the country on the big screen. Then whether it is the recently released film Sher Shah or Sardar Udham. The film Shershaah, which was based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who was martyred in Kargil, did not release on the big screen due to the Corona epidemic, but definitely managed to win the hearts of the audience on Prime Video. Apart from this, ‘Sardar Udham’, which was released a few days ago, is also a great film.

Talking about such films in the coming days, there is a huge line-up of these films:

First of all, let’s talk about Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Sam Bahadur’, then this film is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, who was also known as Manekshaw, Mackintosh and Manekshaw. Sam Monkeshaw was the 8th Chief of the Indian Army. He was probably the first army chief of the army who had bluntly replied to Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, saying that the Indian Army is not yet fully prepared for war with Pakistan.

The second film in this line-up is ‘Pippa’. This film is based on the book ‘The Burning Chaffees’ by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. In this film, Ishaan Khattar will play the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, who fought on India’s Eastern Front during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. As a result of which India’s neighboring country Bangladesh was liberated from Pakistan.

The third film in this line-up is ‘Gorkha’, recently Akshay Kumar shared a great poster announcing his upcoming film ‘Gorkha’. The film is based on the life of Major General Ian Cardozo. Akshay Kumar tweeted the poster of the film and wrote, “Sometimes you come across so many inspiring stories that you just want to make them. Gurkha – One such film is based on the life of the great war hero Major General Ian Cardozo. Honored to play the role of an icon and present this special film.

The fourth film in this line-up is ‘Ekkis’, a biopic of Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Which is based on the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient Lt Arun Khetrapal. After the film Badlapur, Varun Dhawan is working with director Sriram Raghavan for the second time in the film ‘Ekiss’. According to media reports, Varun Dhawan has been preparing for this film for the last two years, the shooting of this film is expected to start in February 2022.
