A Mumbai court on Thursday rejected the pre-arrest application of actress Sherlyn Chopra in a case related to the alleged production of pornographic films and their publication through certain apps. Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch had recently arrested businessman and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra in this case.

Mumbai’s crime branch started investigation after some victims reached Malwani police station in February 2021. Chopra had filed an anticipatory bail application in the court earlier this week through her lawyer Siddharth Borkar. He said in his application that he feared his arrest in the case registered under relevant sections of the IPC, the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Illustration of Women (Prevention) Act.
